The biggest sacrifice of all,,, for goods

p.s : this post contain some picture that some of you might not wanted to see

yesterday,, i saw one picture which,,,

you can say,,, touch my heart.

it was a picture of Thích Quảng Đức /Thich Quang Duc

he was a Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist monk who burned himself to death at a busy Saigon road intersection on June 11, 1963.

what amazing is that he's doing it in silence.
meaning,,, he didnt scream nor shouting nor saying a single word while being burned to death.

he did that because of one reason....

to brought attention to the policies of the Diệm regime in Vietnam at that time.
to show to the world,, how crucial is the condition in Vietnam at that moment,,,

so that the people of the world could do something !!

here is the picture :

click to see the whole picture

and thanks to him,, the government was pressured by the international society.

but still,,, unfortunately, government didnt change at all~ or rather at a very slow pace ~_~

then, as a climax, several Buddhist monks followed Thích Quảng Đức's example and burned themselves to death.

again, the pic is clickable

Eventually, an Army coup toppled and killed Diệm in November. The self-immolation is widely seen as the turning point of the Vietnamese Buddhist crisis which led to the change in regime.

respect for all those monks !!!!

sabbe satta bhavantu sukhitatta
may all beings happy and live in peace

p.s : After his death, his body was re-cremated, but his heart remained intact. This was interpreted as a symbol of compassion and led Buddhists to revere him as a bodhisatva, heightening the impact of his death on the public psyche.

for more info just look at wikipedia~
